The washing facilities at Wildebeest Eco Camp are simple and clean with spacious showers and several toilets. Water is heated by solar panels; it is always hot enough, and a welcome end to a long and dusty day.

Breakfast options at Wildebeest Eco Camp include eggs, fresh fruit salad, or pancakes cooked to order, with as much toast as you can eat, and tea or coffee.

The main deck at Wildebeest Eco Camp is spacious with plenty of seating for residents along with power sources for phones and laptops. It also has a bar and a restaurant attached.

The pond is a major feature of the gardens, around which visitors can often be found sitting enjoying the native bird life from the small pied wagtail to the large, loud hadeda ibis.

The gardens of Wildebeest Eco Camp are lush and extensive with space to lie in the shade reading or kick a football. It also contains a giant chess set and a table tennis tent, popular with volunteers.

There are a wide variety of trees including jacarandas, guavas, and thorn trees, in the gardens providing colour and interest for guests and wildlife like visiting Vervet monkeys and humming birds.

Night lamps are placed in large beds of Agapanthus and other African plants, to ensure that guests can find their way around the grounds at night at Wildebeest Eco Camp, while avoiding blinding those trying to sleep.

The tents have excellent and effective mosquito nets across the doors and windows to keep out biting mozzies allowing guests to sleep well at night. While days are hot, nights are cold so it makes sense to have thick duvets on the beds.
